Indian Stock Market today remained bullish during the all trading sessions except the the session just before the start of noon. During the successive trading sessions the Sensex touched the day's high of 150 points & at the end of the day it closed on the upside with 50 points up. Nifty however closed above 6300. The 30-share BSE Sensex index gained 46 points ,0.25%, and closed at 21,251 while The 50-share NSE Nifty index closed flat at 6,314 with a gain of 10 points. As we all were expecting the market remained flat to positive note today.
- Banking, Auto and Consumer Durable sectors were among the major gainers of the day which lead the market today to high.
- The Power, IT and Oil & Gas sectors witnessed a selling pressure today.
- Mid Cap and small cap shares shown better performance then blue chip stocks.
Major NSE BSE Gainers of the Day: ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, Jaiprakash Associates, Tata Steel, Axis Bank, Sesa Sterlite.
Major NSE BSE Losers of the Day: Kotak Mahindra, TCS, BHEL, Coal India, Asian Paints, Gail, Sun Pharma.
